Astrology Basics: Your Rising Sign

Your rising-sign, also referred to as "the ascendant" by astrologers, is the zodiac sign that was rising on the horizon at the moment you were born.  As you took physical form independent of your mother, the rising sign imprinted on you.  It describes your physical body, appearance, style, and personal identity.  It motivates your social demeanor and interactions when meeting new people.  It’s literally the impression that you leave on other people and the world!  When you know your rising sign, you can also identify the “ruling” planet of your chart.  This planet charts the course of your life and determines when, where, and how you will devote your energy over your lifetime.  By the end of this 2 hour class, you will identify your rising sign and ruling planet and understand how these inform and describe your personal identity and life’s journey, including specific and concrete details about your body, health, and life purpose.
